DBT Skills Group: Building Emotional Balance & Stronger Relationships is a 14-week, closed skills group for adults 18+ who experience emotional intensity, overwhelm, or difficulty bouncing back from distress. Led by Kelly Karydis, MHC-LP, each session introduces and practices core DBT tools with trauma-informed pacing built into the structure, so participants can actually apply what they learn between sessions.


This group is for people who know something needs to shift but feel like their emotions are always one step ahead of them. If you have been told you are "too much," struggle with urges or impulsive responses, or feel stuck in emotional cycles that keep affecting your relationships and sense of self, this group was built with you in mind. Whether you are navigating BPD traits, eating disorder recovery, anxiety, depression, or a trauma history, you belong here.


Participants can expect to:

  • Build emotional regulation tools you can reach for in real-time

  • Develop distress tolerance strategies for when things feel unbearable

  • Reduce shame around big feelings without avoiding them

  • Strengthen relationship patterns, communication, and boundary-setting

  • Leave each session with something concrete to practice before the next one
