diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging at Next Level

At Next Level, diversity, equity, and inclusion are not afterthoughts —
they are foundational to how we practice.

With 60+ clinicians serving New Yorkers across every background, we believe every person deserves compassionate, culturally responsive mental health care, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, ability, socioeconomic status, immigration status, neurodiversity, or any other identity.

We recognize that systemic inequity, implicit bias, and historical marginalization directly impact mental health. Our response is active, not passive. Guided by the core ethical values of beneficence, nonmaleficence, autonomy, justice, fidelity, and veracity, we commit to:

  • Matching clients with clinicians who genuinely reflect and understand their lived experience

  • Continuously building a diverse team whose backgrounds mirror the communities we serve

  • Creating a practice culture where every voice — client, clinician, and staff — is heard and valued

  • Holding ourselves accountable through honest reflection on where we succeed and where we fall short

This is ongoing work, and we welcome it. Next Level Mental Health Counseling is a space where you can show up fully — no code-switching, no explaining the basics.
