Kereen Gibson
MHC-LP
fun fact: Published poet, horror & true crime lover, and on a lifelong hunt for the perfect taro dessert.
Kereen approaches therapy with curiosity, compassion, and a genuine belief that you don't have to choose between being understood and being challenged. She creates a space where your feelings — all of them, even the complicated ones — are welcome without judgment.
Her work draws from CBT, DBT, somatic, and person-centered approaches, meeting you where you are and building toward where you want to go. She specializes in mood disorders, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, ADHD, BPD, and life transitions, and has years of experience working with clients from Black, Indigenous, and LGBTQIA+ communities — not just as demographics, but as full people whose identities and lived experiences shape the work.
Kereen also brings a background in higher education, where she supported college students through socioemotional development, academic challenges, and building independence — so if you're navigating that season of life, you're in good hands.
Her in-session vibe? Curious, compassionate, collaborative. She'll sit with you in the hard stuff and remind you: there's no rush in healing — allow yourself your time.
