fun fact: Catholicism shaped a lot of who I am, and I love exploring how faith and culture show up in the therapy room, not around it.
Life transitions and everything in between can be challenging for anyone (including therapists). But you do not need to face it alone. With a balance of cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic approaches, and focusing on the here-and-now, we can work to navigate these challenges together. With relatability, trust, and open collaboration, a strong therapeutic alliance will be built to ensure that you are in control of your therapeutic journey. Together, our therapeutic space will be based in warmth, light-heartedness, and non-judgment. Holding a key focus on marginalized identities and intergenerational experiences, our time together will be intentional and productive. We will see how your environment, experiences, and identities have shaped who you are today, and how they have impacted the way you navigate what life throws at you.
I have experience working with adolescents and young adults, focusing on life transitions and navigating critical developmental periods. I integrate a multicultural and sociological approach to my practice, acknowledging how environmental, both personal and systemic, interactions impact mental and emotional regulation and progress. Seeking therapeutic help is not a sign of failure, but a key to a new future of growth and positive development. I look forward to helping you on this journey.
